Summer is the time to read
Summer is a fun time for everyone to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with families and friends and simply relax. It is also a perfect opportunity to encourage students to read! To help with this, we have created a national reading program and are giving all schools FREE ACCESS to the myON Digital Library to motivate kids to read and reward top schools with exciting prizes.
Our goals for the Summer Reading Program:
1. Encourage every student to find books that they love!
2. Giving anytime, anywhere access to students so they can continue reading wherever this summer may bring them.
3. Reduce the summer slide effect by empowering students with content choice and reading motivation.
Get FREE access to over 5800 books online
Over the summer, many students experience the summer slide, which can rob them of gains they made the previous school year. Therefore kids who do not read over the summer can lose more than two months of reading achievement. Together, we can help your student avoid the summer slide!
With myON® your students have unlimited access to a collection of 5,800+ digital books to read over the summer on computers, laptops and other devices anytime, anywhere. More importantly, myON contains books for every age, interest and reading level that will keep them engaged and learning all summer long!
Win great prizes for the entire school
Winners will be announced based on MOST BOOKS READ
First place winner will be the school that has read the most number of myON digital books during the contest period. This school will receive a FREE 12-month subscription to myON Reader for the entire school. This subscription will provide personalised reading experiences through individual accounts for each student, as well as accounts for all educators and administrators.
7 runners up (one from each state except the state of the winner) will receive $200 book gift voucher
