Unexpected school closures happen, but this doesn’t have to impact student learning.
During uncertain times Renaissance is committed to continuing to Accelerate Learning For All. Students only need a device and an internet connection to support continued reading and literacy growth, and to complete assignments either in or out of school. Embedded reporting and metrics provide educators with up-to-the-minute insights on each learner’s activity and engagement.
Star Reading and Accelerated Reader
Keep calm and carry on reading! Reading is the perfect activity for isolation, encourage your students to pick books to read while schools are closed. They will be able to take the Accelerated Reader quiz upon their return.

Prepare students for reading while at home
As schools and students begin preparations for supporting Accelerated Reader usage at home one of the best resources available is AR Book Finder. This website allows for students, teachers and parents to find level appropriate books for students to read. We recommend working with students to provide reading lists of appropriate books from the library or home to read so they can be quizzed when able. Also making sure parents are aware of the website so they can guide book selection in your absence and source books suitable for growth.
